From New York to Los Angeles, the largest cities of America are home to some of the most impressive works of art in the world. No, we are not talking of works in museums like the Metropolitan or Getty, even if they are certainly beautiful in its own right. We talk about the visual splendor skill towed walls and underpasses empty their hometowns. We're talking about street art.
Street artists were breaking the monotony of the high urban places for decades, public spaces beautification bare field with your particular brand of color and design. Instead of oil paint or marble, artists like Shepard Fairey and Swoon enough to spray paint cans, wheatpastes and models, proving that there is work out the art galleries rooms too.
While many cities kept their fair share of conflict with graffiti in the past, the American public was widely adopted in the world of outdoor art. Major exhibitions at art museums in the street celebritization star, sex became a way of welcoming the ephemeral artistic creativity and innovation. It has its own critical and academic experience, as experts Brooklyn Street Art, Jaime Rojo and Steven Harrington, who regularly writes about the "power of street art in the coating, re-contextualize, to revitalize and re -imaginer buildings and community place in the neighborhood. "
In celebration of the growing subculture of American street performers, we have compiled a list of the largest art that can be found in a museum. Temporary or permanent, written by an anonymous manufacturer or a household name here: superb illustrations lurking in the corners of American cities.
