Book Blurb
Kimo Wilder, Honolulu’s hottest kahuna, yearns for the simple life. He adores his husband, Lopaka, and their three rambunctious children, but sometimes he dreams of peace and quiet. When he and Lopaka watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on TV, Kimo becomes obsessed with taking it easy. He longs to relax, think about nothing more than having sex with Lopaka, and eating candy. He reckons he could have been a swell fry cook on Venus...
But Goddess Pele has other ideas.
After a frightening dream in which Kimo glimpses how his life would be had he never met Lopaka, he eases up on his workload and takes his husband out on a date to a local movie theater. It’s not something they normally do, neither is it a place they’ve frequented before. They encounter some unusual ghosts, which everybody but Lopaka can see, and a haunting that challenges all of Kimo’s notions of having a vacation...

Book Review
Like all the other books in the Phantom Lovers series, I absolutely adored this one. Who among us hasn't thought about taking it easier - and then run into real obstacles? Granted, the obstacles in Kimo and Lopaka's way are a little more serious (I hope) than most of us encounter, but they still need to be dealt with. They are definitely more mysterious and, well, 'magical', than the ones that have popped up in my life from time to time. But then, I am not a kahuna.
For me, this book was just the right mix between meeting up with old friends (Kimo, Lopaka and their lovely extended family) and some mysterious new happenings that kept me glued to the pages. Well, that and some truly hot man-on-man action.
If you're a fan of the Phantom Lovers series, don't miss this one. If you're not yet familiar with it - what are you waiting for?
